The truth, I never told!

So many things have happened in my life and I’ve kept them bottled up scared and fearful of the outcome but in doing this blog I’m finding out it’s easier to talk about the things that I’ve never said out loud so I wanna walk in my truth and tell a story that has never really been told so in a previous post I talked about my abusive relationship but it goes deeper then that.

Before I go to deep..

The idea for doing this kind of post came from me watching a show on Vice-land called “dope sick nation” it’s such a good show about the drug epidemic in Florida, it features two people Allie and Frankie who are trying to help addicts get clean and in to rehab it’s such a good show it will keep you on your toes and yes grab a tissue because it will make you cry at some scenes so please go check this show out it comes on every Wednesday at 9 or 10 I believe so go check your local channel listings for it.

Let’s get started..

I use to watch my ex all the time he seemed so put together but he wasn’t at all, he would drink now and then and I would drink with him sometimes and in the beginning I never saw any drug problems until one day he had friends over and I saw him start popping pills it shocked me at first and I asked him did he do this all the time he laughed and said no here and there so I believe him but as time went on he would always call his “dealer” to come over and bring him whatever he needed he would pay him 100 dollars sometimes even more for pills to snort or take to feel high all the time.

His world vs mine..

I tried my best to understand him and understand why he was like this but at the time I couldn’t. We spent many nights indulging in alcohol he even had me taking his pills, the difference was he was addicted and I wasn’t. I could stop anytime I wanted, he couldn’t it was obvious. the many days he spent sick when he didn’t have his prescription pills or his alcohol he would ponder back and fourth around the house trying to figure out how he could call someone and how he could get more alcohol and more pills. I remember every weekend feeling like a party everyone he hung out with was hooked on something and it was nothing new to them. I was lost in a world that I clearly knew nothing about it and it scared me.

His friend..

He has a friend that was hooked on every drug you could think of but of course it was normal to them, he would come over and talk to us now and then, he would talk about wanting to get out start Fresh how he was tired of the lifestyle he wanted out, he eventually went off to rehab and once he was back home he got sucked in to the lifestyle again this time was different. I remember getting a phone call from my ex telling me his friend had passed away apparent drug over dose he seemed scared like maybe he wanted to change his life around maybe he wanted to do better.

The outcome..

I honestly don’t know weather he is still doing drugs because we no longer speak but I can say I have not drink alcohol(I drink wine but nothing past that) or taking any pills since we broke up in 2015/2016 so yes addiction is real guys and to anyone out there dealing with someone on drugs please be patient with that person and try to help them the best way you know how, addiction is not easy and someone will not change unless they are ready to change remember that, you can still be there for them.

I’ve never told this story out loud before so I’m glad it’s out now and I hope it helps someone out there, please love yourself guys and also I’m sorry this is going up late I’ve been out of town all weekend.

Changing my eating habits/how it’s helped me.

So as everyone should know or will know now, I’ve stopped eating beef/pork my personal choice at the moment. It’s been good so far honestly I don’t even miss eating it at all, even my daughter is liking some of the food I’ve been eating. I will say this my body feels a lot better since choosing to cut out certain foods I’ve had more energy and I’m even starting to lose more weight. I haven’t been to the gym in a while due to my daughter being sick but I will be back on track with that really soon. I miss my work out routine a lot but of course my daughters health has to come first so for now the gym will be on hold until she’s feeling better.

What everyone around me thinks..

So since I’ve decided to change my eating it’s crazy the responses I’ve been getting from people for starters..

Mom- ” so your never going to eat beef or pork again not even at Christmas.”

Dad- “so are you a vegetarian now, should I get you a cook book on the foods you been eating.”

My boyfriend- “are you a vegetarian babe?I think it’s good your eating healthier. “

Co workers- why did you stop eating beef/pork, I still eat it.

So yes this is some of the responses I been getting from people while doing this, honestly when I made the decision to do this I told myself I would lose a few pounds and then go back to eating it again but now sitting here thinking about it,honestly I may never go back to eating it, last night I read some articles about beef and pork turns out its not the best thing for your body and I wanna keep my body clean of all bad things. Who knows, I may cut out meat all together but for right now that’s unknown because only time will tell but I’m extremely content with the things I’ve been eating as of right now and my body thanks me plus the doctor, I work for was telling us how when you stop eating all the bad foods you have more energy (his vegetarian) and your body feels better so that kinda confirmed some things for me too.

The advantages of not eating beef/pork..

1. It helps you lose weight

2. You will be less acidic

3.you feel less bloated

4.your skin may improve

5.cholesterol levels may drop

6.risk of cancer is lowered

7.risk of certain diseases is lowered

8.more energy

9.helping the environment

So these are a few things that will help you when you choose to cut certain foods out your eating lifestyle.

conclusion..

In not in any way telling anyone how to live their life or what to eat or not eat. I’m just telling my story and what has worked for me so far, I want everyone to live a happy healthy life and if changing what your eating helps you then I’m glad and If not that’s ok too changing your foods is hard sometimes , before I started back on my meal plan I was eating so bad but then I woke up one day and I was tired of eating bad and wanted to be healthy not only for me but for my daughter so it takes time but if you really want it, it can work out for you.

Your body is your temple..

Please take care of your body guys and do what’s best for you also add some work outs in their when you can. I’ll keep you guys posted on my eating and what I’ve been eating and if I’ve lost anymore weight. It’s going to be a long road but yes I’m down for the challenge. My favorite healthy snacks

Ok, so as promised I will be giving you a list of my favorite healthy snacks, also good morning everyone it’s Tuesday mines is starting off a little rocky but I’ll get through it. Snacks don’t always have to be a cookie, cakes and chips it can also be something healthy as well, so when you get that urged In the middle of the night to eat something bad, remember to eat something healthy and light, your body will definitely thank you later.

My favorite snacks..

Fruit- so, I love fruit it’s not only healthy but extremely light and you can eat as much as you want without feeling guilty about it. Yes some fruit does contain sugar however it still is a Healthy snack and it taste good.

Yogurt- I absolutely love yogurt, I will eat it all the time literally, I usually do chobani or light and fit those are my favorites, you have to be careful what kind of yogurts you eat ,so always check the calorie intake also look at the sugar because some yogurt contains a lot of sugar witch isn’t good for your body so always check the labels on whatever you eat to be safe.

I love chips like the next person however chips are not always good for you so my nutritionist told me about baked chips they don’t taste as good as a regular chips but it has less calories and fat, it’s also better for you body( I don’t eat these all the time) but when I do I usually get the cheddar flavor that’s my favorite one,My daughter even loves these chips.

Pretzels- I love my pretzels this is a great snack, some people think because it’s bread it’s not good for you but it’s actually a light good snack for someone who is dieting, it’s not to heavy and it taste good also I don’t eat these everyday but when I do I’m in heaven because I love my pretzels.

Vegetable tray- I love love vegetable trays they are so good and a nice healthy snack especially with some ranch dressing, I buy these all the time Its a great snack for me when watching a movie, I usually get this from Walmart I believe it’s only 8 or 9 dollars for a tray it also depends on what size you get too.

Fiber one- I love these protein bars, they are so good and only 90 calories per bar. It’s always good to make sure you have a little protein in your everyday diet, weather it be through this or you can also get protein in your meats but it’s always good to get that through out the day. My fitness pal app keeps track of how much protein I’m taking in through out the day,it also tells me when I met my protein limit for the day.

Conclusion..

Snacks can be good for you, it’s all about moderation and how much you choose to eat, these are my favorite snacks and I have more so their will definitely be a part 2 as always to more snacks that I love but for now this is a few, remember weight loss takes time and don’t beat yourself up if one day goes wrong, try your best and stay motivated.

Ok so I love yogurt bars guys this is my favorite my mom and I buy these all the time so if your an ice cream lover like myself this is a great substitute for it, it’s only 80 calories and it taste so good the strawberry one is clearly my favorite but yes they do make more flavors so you gotta try this, where I live it’s only sold at target oh and Publix, Walmart stopped selling it for some reason. You gotta try these out guys I’m telling you.

Ok now I’m done ✅ no more snacks at least not today 😊

Some of my favorite meals/ what I’ve been eating lately.

Ok guys so I’m back on this lovely Monday, I’m still not feeling well so my appetite is kind of all over the place( not eating a lot but drinking plenty of water) so I wanted to share with you some foods I love to cook since I been on this health journey/ I’m missing the gym a lot but being sick I can’t go been way to weak and tired. I’ll get back on track soon.

favorite dinner dishes..

The pictures used are not my actual cooking/ one day I will take pics of my own to show (just gotta remember to do it) just letting it be known so no one thinks I’m taking credit for the pictures. Whoever did make the food it looks good, I’m taking notes but yes these are foods I make.

1.salmon w/ baked potato and mixed veggies.

This is one of my favorites literally it’s super healthy and I won’t lie I been eating a lot of seafood lately this is so yummy, I never put too much seasoning on it and the veggies taste great. (I normally boil or steam my vegetables) and I try to eat all fresh vegetables not too much can items.

2.baked chicken w/ asparagus and brown rice.

This dish is so yummy and healthy, brown rice is not the best tasting but it’s really healthy and good for you,( when I make it for my dad I add seasoning to his because he hates the taste) I however eat it plain, also I been eating so much chicken lately surprised I haven’t turned into one. Clearly whoever made this did a great presentation, I need to take notes.

3. Toss salad

So sometimes I’ll eat this with chicken in it other times I’ll eat it with no meat, it really all depends what mood I’m in or what my taste buds are in that moment. Salads are really good health wise and also Italian dressing is really good to go with it, it doesn’t have a lot of calories in it and it taste good.

4.shrimp

I love shrimp, I make this all the time usually I’ll eat it with rice or have it with mix veggies and as always it’s so so good. It’s also very light. I like foods that don’t sit on my stomach because who really wants to feel full all day long, not me! So I try to eat things that are light as possible.

Favorite breakfast dishes..

1.

I eat this a lot for breakfast on the weekends and it’s so good people think that turkey anything is nasty but it’s actually not it’s pretty good and even better for you them eating beef or pork. I get this at Walmart for 3.89 not a bad price and it’s worth the taste trust me.

2.

I love love these rice cakes they are so good I have two bags here at home and I eat this a lot on my way to work in the morning it’s light so you may want to eat two if your someone who doesn’t fill up easy, I usually eat one as I’m getting my daughter ready in the morning also the Carmel flavor is good too.

3.

My nutritionist got me hooked on this cereal when she put it on my meal plan and I been in love since, I don’t even like almonds that much however they taste so good in this cereal also I use almond milk in my cereal it’s way better for you then regular milk or either I do skim milk it all taste good. I actually need to go buy another box of this soon.

4.turkey bacon

I remember first trying this a few years back and thinking this was not the best tasting bacon but since I’ve been eating it on my meal plan it’s actually not half bad,it actually taste really good and since I’ve cut out beef and pork it’s a great substitute, no one in my house likes this bacon but me so I’m on my own but hey more for me and less for them.

5.

I know what your thinking boiled eggs are gross and they smell bad, well I’m here to say nope your wrong they are actually really good and healthier for you then eating a fried egg, this is the only way I will eat my eggs lately or I’ll do egg whites that I buy in a carton it’s all healthier for you and it doesn’t taste bad either I’ll sprinkle some pepper on it and go right in to eat.

The conclusion..

So basically these are some of the foods that I have been eating a lot here lately, it’s all about being healthy and eating in moderation and as I always say “cheat days are ok” sometimes too don’t be too hard on yourself. I will also be posting about my favorite snacks I’ve been eating (tomorrow) so look out for it. I hope you all are having a great Monday night, get great sleep and don’t work too hard. why, I love morning gym sessions/my favorite gym equipment.

Good morning/afternoon, well it’s technically afternoon now but it’s nothing like someone saying good morning to get your day started right. I’m at work still feeling a little under the weather but trying to keep pushing until I can go home 😦 I woke up at 5am this morning and got my day started right by going to the gym (yes I felt sick but still went) I know I know should of stayed home in my warm bed but since I’ve been going to the gym so much it’s weird for me to miss too many days, I wanna keep that motivation going strong 💪 so I’m going to tell you what my favorite machines to work out on are and why working out in the morning is better to me then going late in the afternoon these are all my opinions, I know others may feel different and that’s ok.

Why I love working out in the mornings…

1. It gives me so much energy through out the day and I’m never tired I’m full of energy it also helps burn more calorie through out the day

2. The gym is practically empty in the morning well my gym is anyway so it’s mostly a lot of older people and a few young people but it’s nice and quiet and all the machines are usually available.

3.its a great start to my mornings instead of sleeping in I get up earlier and start my day with breakfast and a nice quick work out.

4. Working out is good for the body and it’s better then going late in the evening when everyone is getting off work (just my opinion) your not worn out from work and you don’t feel rushed.

My favorite gym machines..

1.treadmill- I love a good treadmill walk or run it gives me tons of energy and I sweat like crazy , usually I stay ok for 20-23 minus’s so I burn a 100 calories and also if your a beginner take your time don’t be so rushed to try to run on the treadmill or stay on longer then you want too because you don’t wanna over work your body (I saw a girl do that today and I though she was going to faint) so please be careful guys.

2. Bicycle- I love love the bicycle because you get to peddle and move your legs all quick lol no but really I love that it helps to strengthen your legs also each time your leg comes back it’s hitting against your abdomen so it may help flatten your stomach a little but they also have other machines to help with that so don’t just depend on this machine for that. (I’m going by my results) but everyone is different.

3.Elliptical- I love this it helps strengthen your Legs and arms and it keeps me on my feet it also burns fat because your in constant movement I recommend this machine for beginners too if your just starting out working out again or starting all together.

4.Track- my gym has a track and I love it of course I do, I try to walk around and do a few laps, you can walk or run really it’s up to you also make sure you stretch before doing any running so you don’t pull a ham string or hurt yourself, take your time it’s no rush to go too fast move at your own past.

I do other things/use other machines sometimes too but those are my favorite ones to use like lifting weights here and there but it’s very rare I try to do things at my own pase and take my time so I don’t injury myself either way no matter what machine you use in the gym take your time as long as your doing something your body is burning calories and getting a work out in and be proud of yourself always because your putting in effort, I love going to the gym and seeing people of all ages and sizes not being scared to embrace who they are and having confident.

Keep pushing and keep trying guys you can turn your life into a healthy one by eating right and exercising no it may not happen over night but it will trust me I have had plenty of sad backs but this time I’m not so focused on the weight loss and I’m more focused on being healthy and taking cares of my body. The weight will come off but don’t focus so much on that because then you will be making yourself crazy and that’s not good you what this to be fun for you as well and also grab a family member or friend and get them to help you or work out with you it helps when you have support.

I’m sorry this post is late guys I’ve been feeling so bad today ughhh I hate being sick 🤕 but ima keep pushing. Also guys I had turkey pork chops for dinner and it was so yummy. You barley can tell your eating turkey. See some things you think are nasty end up being good.

Summer colds are no fun/medicines I take to feel better and what I do to rest.

sick days

I went out a few days ago in the rain, I know stupid decision because now I’m laying down feeling like death literally. I was all wrapped up in my jacket of course but still my immune system always seems to shut down on me. I’m going to tell you some things that I normally do to feel better when coming down with a bad cold.

When I’m sick these are some things that I normally do…

1. Lay down in bed/watch movies-

I’m actually laying down now and watching some tv shows on Hulu at the moment usually resting and not doing a lot makes me feel better

2.take medicine-

That’s the first thing I try to do is get in the bathroom and search for all the cold medicines I have because it helps me sleep better and get all the rest I need

3. Green tea-

I love green tea and I normally drink this every day even when not sick but it also helps me to drink a warm cup of tea it soothes my throat and also helps me rest well.

4. Put on warm clothes-

I know this is crazy considering it’s summer time but I try to dress in sweats and warm shirts while under my blanket it helps to keep me warm also it helps you sweat a lot witch is good to get rid of your cold.(I get the chills really bad)

5. I try to keep my daughter in another room-

I never want her to get sick so I try my best to stay away from her and let her be in her own room witch is hard because she loves to sleep in my room with me at all time still trying to break that habit.

Medicines that I take…

1.theraflu-

I love theraflu it helps me a lot to sleep at night and it takes a couple of days but it usually kicks in and I start to feel better.

Halls lozenges-

I take this all the time for my sore throat and coughing it really helps especially when I’m at work because I’m constantly talking with patients all day.

Alka seltzer-

They have a really good cold medicine you dump the pill in some water and it dissolves it dosent taste all that great but it does help to feel better.

Tylenol Cold medicine-

I usually take these in the morning before work I hate taking pills so I’ll pour a glass of orange juice and crush my pills up and dump them into my juice and it helps me to feel better when taken twice a day.

Robitussin cough syrup-

I usually take this for my cough it’s nasty I have to admit but it does knock my coughing out right away I usually throw it down as quick as possible and try not to think about the taste or the smell witch is horrible.

Those are a few of the medicines I take, of course there is more…

Getting over a cold isn’t a quick fix colds can last up two weeks at the most and if it goes on longer please go see a doctor because it can turn in to pneumonia and we don’t want that. So the best thing I can tell you is try to get plenty of rest don’t over work yourself and allow your body some time to rest and you will feel better in no time

To everyone with summer colds I hope you feel better soon. Take your meds and see your doctor if your condition worsens.

What’s in my refrigerator/healthy foods I’ve been eating.

Ok, so as you all know or should know, I’ve been back on my diet and eating healthy again also I’m going to the gym 3x a week well kind of a little bit more then that because it’s like missing one day feels weird to me since I’ve been going. I’ve also been sticking to the meal plan my nutritionist gave me and I’ve stopped eating pork and beef. (I don’t wanna say I’ll never eat it again) but for now I’m choosing to only eat chicken, turkey and seafood because I’m trying to stay healthy and of course lose a little more weight.

Foods I’ve been eating…

Seafood:

Salmon- I love this it’s so good and healthy and I normally grill it or bake it and it’s very light and I usually season it with pepper or old bay sometimes I even use a lemon pepper seasoning it all depends.

Shrimp- I been buying this shrimp from Walmart it comes in a bag you can get small, extra small or large I usually get extra small and it’s only like 4 dollars so you can beat the price either the other day I made shrimp with mix veggies and it was so good.

Tilapia- so this fish I do not and I repeat do not eat that often at all it’s very rare because its not that good for you to be honest so it’s the least fish I would recommend to eat however it’s ok sometimes but not on a daily basis.

Spot- this fish is so yummy the grocery store I use to go to all the time stopped selling it so my mom goes to a fish market and gets it for us because it’s one of our favorite fish to eat she just recently got some too but of course I haven’t cooked it yet so I’ll keep you posted on that.

I also eat other things like crab legs and lobster but not all the time.

Vegetables:

Squash/zucchini – I love squash and zucchini I usually bake it in the oven sometimes or I put it on the stove also the best oil to use is canola oil it’s healthier then vegetable oil and don’t use a lot and also I add a little bit of butter make sure you use one with not a lot of fat in it and it’s pretty good.

Green beans- I love green beans I get the fresh ones from Walmart and they are really good add a little seasoning but not too much and cook them on the stove it turns it pretty good.

Broccoli- so this literally is my go to vegetable I eat this a lot usually I eat it plain and I boil it on the stove or steam it and I always get the fresh kind as well ( I use to add cheeese) I don’t anymore 😦 gotta be healthy.

Cabbage- I eat this vegetable every now and then not very often usually I only eat it when my mom makes it witch is rare but this is also very good.

Corn on the Cobb- I usually buy a Hugh bag of this and boil some on the stove I make enough to last me for a couple days so I don’t have to do so much cooking everyday.

I eat a lot more vegetables however don’t have room to list them all oh I should add to I eat a lot of toss salads (I Love Caesar salad and garden salad)

Meats:

Turkey- I been eating a lot of turkey like turkey wings, turkey pork chops and ground turkey beef, turkey sausage, it sounds nasty to some but it’s actually really good guys trust me you gotta try it.

Chicken- so I’ve been eating a lot of this lately I’m surprised I’m not sick of chick I’m really surprised I am but nope I’ve been sticking to it and eating it faithfully because it’s so many things you can make with chicken honestly so it works for me in some ways.

I already listed all the seafood..

Snacks:

Yogurt- I love light and fit and also chobani but it’s not good to eat that all the time due to the sugar in it and calories but yes I love yogurt.

Pretzels: I know most people think it’s bread so it’s not healthy but I’m here to tell you it’s on my meal plan and it’s actually not bad at all.

Popcorn: popcorn is always good I always get the kind with 94% fat free only with a 100 calories and it’s actually pretty healthy and good for you.

Fruit: I eat all kind of fruit don’t even wanna list them all but yes fruit is so good for you so enjoy it and embrace it because it’s yummy 😋

So basically I eat all healthy snakes or try too of course there’s more but again it would take so long to list them all so you can ask me if you really wanna know.

If you’re trying to lose weight or just be healthy this is the diet for you or these are the foods I recommend eating also it’s good to get a nutritionist to help as well or you can do it yourself either way guys is all about being healthy to be around longer. (It’s ok to have cheat days sometimes) as I always say no one is perfect but this is me telling you what works for me and it may work for you too.

Dealing with emotions/Panic and anxiety.

Guys I’m doing 100% better, needed to vent, everything is good now. I even spoke with my mom and she helped me feel better, there’s no ill feelings towards my co workers either. I had a bad anxiety moment ( still not sure what triggered it) but I feel a lot better(this was written hours ago) just now deciding to post it.

Today has started off so weird for me, I had a great morning everything appeared to be going right, then all of a sudden my co worker says something to me not in a mean way but I kind of took it that way. I went back into my office and started crying and I’m still unsure as to why it made me so upset or mad but Sometimes my job as much as I love it can cause me a lot of stress, it also feels like most times I’m being pulled in so many different directions and being told so many different things that it can be overwhelming.

I wake up everyday I’m always in a good mood, today was suppose to be a good day and it still can be,however now my body feels weird my chest is hurting me and I feel like I wanna be alone and away from everyone. My anxiety usually makes me feel like this at a times, I try my best not to let my anxiety or my emotions get the best of me but sometimes it happens because I’m human. I never like when little things happen to me and it sets me back from being in control of everything going on and as I sit here in my office I’m still wondering what could of triggered my reaction or caused me to get so upset.

I don’t wanna alarm my co workers and I don’t wanna confront anybody because even I’m not sure why this has happened maybe i got a little overwhelmed or maybe something is bothering me that’s now starting to come out, do you ever get so emotional or worked up and then forget what happens or why it even happened? I know I cannot be the only one. I hate feeling sad inside or feeling like no one understands what’s going on through my mind but of course we all know no one can read minds. My anxiety has now been triggered and I’ll have to deal with the after math.

So I’ll go ahead and be honest I feel “crazy” as in what the hell is going on with me and is this normal. I feel the need to grab my anxiety meds to help me but at the same time I’ve done so good without them, so of course I can’t back track. I wanna call my mom because she normally knows what to say or how to talk me down ,maybe even call my boyfriend but I know they are both at work and busy, maybe I’m over reacting and need to relax, take a deep breath and it will all go back to normal.

I know this post has a lot of me rambling on thanks for reading and listening, yes these are my thoughts at the current moment, I’m glad I got to vent and write them down, by the way writing this I am not mad at anyone (just wanted to express my current feelings) and if anyone out there is dealing with anxiety or any mental illness know that you are not alone and that you are loved and it’s going to get better.

Also I’m debating in my mind on posting this or deleting this so this may not get seen until Friday guys sorry.

Motivation Monday.

I’m so proud of myself because I been avoiding the gym for a while but this morning, I got up and went bright and early at 5am, it was cold but I made myself get up and I went out the door. I go to the ymca and I love it because it’s small also I live in a small town so you pretty much see everybody who lives in town there, it’s great to go do something you love and relax and it helps me relieve some stress as well.

I been trying to eat healthier lately and I’ve gotten back on the plan my nutritionist picked for me so that’s been going very well so far. I make sure to eat three meals a day and to snack in between usually something healthy like fruit,yogurt or almonds. (Whatever else my body craves) I don’t really have a particular snack or a favorite one, it really all depends on what I’m in the mood for. I’m not going to lie, I have cheat days sometimes too it’s normal were human it happens.

Sometimes it gets hard and I wanna give up and I look around me and I see my friends or people around me losing weight and sticking to it and then theirs me who gets frustrated and says “the hell with this” but as always I end up right back on track because not everyday is going to be easy but you have to keep pushing and stay motivated even getting a trainer or having a life coach may help, whatever works for you go for it.

I love the fact that my mom is my gym partner and we belong to the same gym so when i need a push she’s right there to motivate me and we’re on the same diet plan so it works out for me. Whenever you have a good person in your corner to motivate you take that and always be grateful because when we allow negativity to take over we tend to not accomplish the things that we know can be accomplished with positivity and the right people around us. So always try to remain positive even when it seems hopeless.

Today is motivation Monday and I’m committing myself to doing better and leaving all the negativity behind me, I’m going to start going to the gym 3x a week and continue on eating healthy and it’s not all for weight it’s also to lead a healthy lifestyle not only for me but for my daughter so remember to stay motivated and that you can achieve anything you want to with hard work and lots of dedication and never let anyone tell you it’s not possible because it is always.

My favorite restaurants/weight loss and Healthy food choices to pick from.

My last two post were a little touchy/ heavy so I’m trying to lighten it up a little (also thanks for the Support i really appreciate it)

Moving along…

I am a big foodie at heart trust me, I love food and I love exploring and trying new things, I recently started seeing a nutritionist and she’s helped me so much with my eating and picking healthy food choices, yes it’s ok to have cheat days sometimes (it’s normal, eat in moderation) after having my daughter I gained a lot of weight and trust me I was far from happy so i knew I had to get healthy not only for myself but for my daughter.

A list of my favorite restaurants/ whats good to eat on the menu when trying to be healthy:

Red lobster- this has and always will be my favorite place to eat, seafood is really good for you and plus it’s light so you don’t feel like you over ate and have any guilt over what was eaten, so usually when I go to red lobster I get the fresh pick of the day witch consist of the fish of that day that the chef has made, I get salmon with mix veggies and a baked potato it’s for one really healthy for you and again really light (yes eating a baked potato is fine, it’s actually on the meal plan my nutritionist gave me) just don’t eat it everyday, always in moderation.

O’Charleys- so my job always gets o’charleys catered for lunch and my co workers and I are all dieting so we always get the chicken ceaser salad with no croutons it’s so good and it’s light and healthy grilled chicken is always, always a good choice as well and of course you can’t go wrong with lettuce and no I’m not a rabbit 😏 salads are always a good choice.

Wendy’s- so I know what everyone is thinking how in the hell can Wendy’s be healthy but let me tell you it’s all how you pick so whenever I go to Wendy’s normally on my lunch break I always get the grilled chicken wrap it’s light, it’s healthy and it’s delicious and not to mention the price isn’t bad either(fast food is not always bad as long as you make healthy food choices)

Arby’s- so again another fast food place I know I know guys but whenever I go to Arby’s on my lunch break I always get a JR roast beef, it’s extremely light and healthy it’s one of the many things I love about Arby’s minus their curly fries. witch I no longer eat, gotta give up the good things sometimes.

Chick fil A – yes you can never go wrong with chick fil A never ever nope so my favorite thing on the menu is the grilled chicken nuggets now most people think I’m crazy when I even mention the grilled nuggets they say “eeew you actually eat that” yes I do and I love them it’s light and healthy and I even have my daughter hooked on them also not to mention the salad options they have, you can’t go wrong here either.

So these are the main places I eat at yes it’s all healthy options everything I’ve listed my nutritionist has said it’s ok and agrees with the choice ( trust me if she didn’t, I would not be eating any of it) I mostly cook at home and eat from home so this list is only when I’m not at home or when I’m on break(I do not eat out everyday) nor do I eat anything fried everything has to be grilled or baked in my house.

The main thing here is to love yourself and to take care of your body and mind always, you only have one body treat it right and again no one is perfect we’re all a work in progress but I wanted to share some tips and give some healthy food options, Anyone out their trying to lose weight remain humble and you can do this don’t give up, I’m here with you! MyFitnessPal app is going to be your best friend I document everything I eat daily on this app and my calorie range is usually 1,200 so I try to under that as much as possible usually I meet that goal so again go download this wonderful app guys it’s a lifesaver.
